# Every post has an author.

A persona is an author with a name, expertise and a voice. Pick one, and the article is written and published as them.

## How it works

### Setup › Personas

Give a persona a name, a title, a bio and a photo, then its areas of expertise, tone of voice, goals and pain points.

2. 02

### Content Outline

Each article recommends one of your personas, with how well it fits the topic, title, intent and content type. Keep it, pick another or clear it.

3. 03

### Article

The article is written as that persona, from its expertise and in its tone. Personal events or results appear only if its profile states them.

4. 04

### Publish

When the article is published to WordPress, the post is credited to the persona as its author.

## What it doesn't do

- It gives one article one author; a post can't be credited to two personas.
- It doesn't invent stories for a persona: personal events and results come only from its profile.
- An article written with no persona, or whose persona was deleted, publishes under the account the site was connected with.

## Questions about personas

### Where do personas come from?

From your website, and from you. When you create a workspace, Rext AI reads your site and suggests personas for the real people it finds there, such as founders, authors and experts. You can edit or delete them, and add your own under Setup › Personas with a name, a bio, a photo, expertise and a tone of voice.

### How is the persona chosen for an article?

Rext AI recommends one at the Content Outline step. It scores every persona in the workspace against the article's topic, title, search intent and content type, and shows the closest fit with its score. You can keep it, choose another persona, or clear it and write the article with no persona at all.

### What does WordPress show?

The persona as the post's author. When Rext AI publishes the article, it sends the persona's name with it, and the post is credited to that author. An article written with no persona, or whose persona was deleted since, publishes under the account your WordPress site was connected with, as before personas existed.
