# Cookie policy

The few cookies rext.ai sets, what each one is for and how long it lasts, and how to change your choice at any time.

## How rext.ai uses cookies

rext.ai sets a few cookies of its own, and one for analytics. It sets no advertising cookies.

We measure visits with PostHog, hosted in the EU. If you visit from the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, we ask first, and nothing is measured until you choose. If you decline, PostHog counts your visits without storing anything in your browser; if you accept, it sets its cookie. Elsewhere, PostHog sets its cookie unless you decline with “Cookie settings”.

## The cookies we set

| Name | What it does | How long | Kind |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `rext-consent` | Remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics | 182 days | Needed |
| `rext-region` | Remembers whether to ask you first (EEA, UK or Switzerland, or elsewhere), so the site asks the server only once | 1 day | Needed |
| `campaign-<name>` | Remembers that you closed the announcement bar at the top of the page | Until the announcement ends | Needed |
| `ph_<project>_posthog` | PostHog's analytics cookie: a random identifier, so that repeat visits are counted once | 1 year | Analytics, only after you accept in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland |

## Other services on our pages

The demo page ([book a demo](https://rext.ai/book-your-free-demo)) shows Calendly's booking calendar. Calendly runs it and sets its own cookies, and shows its own cookie banner inside the calendar, where you can choose.

The web app at app.rext.ai uses what it needs to keep you signed in. It is covered by the [privacy policy](https://rext.ai/privacy-policy).

## Changing your choice

Use “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page to accept or decline analytics; your new choice applies at once. You can also delete cookies, or block them, in your browser's settings.

## Changes to this policy

When the cookies change, this page and its date change too. Questions go to [contact@rext.ai](mailto:contact@rext.ai).
