# Acceptable use policy

What you may not do with Rext AI: spam, mass-produced pages that add nothing, illegal or infringing content, deception, and abuse of the service or its free tools.

## Why this policy exists

Rext AI is made for articles people would put their name on. This policy, part of our [terms](https://rext.ai/terms-and-conditions), says what it may not be used for. It applies to everyone on your account.

## Content you may not create

- Anything illegal where it is published, or that helps someone break the law.
- Content that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights.
- Defamation, harassment, threats, or content that attacks people for who they are.
- Any sexual content involving minors.
- Malware, phishing pages, or content meant to deceive people into giving up money or data.
- Fake reviews, testimonials or endorsements, or content that pretends to come from a person or company it does not.

## No spam or scaled content abuse

Do not use Rext AI to flood the web with pages that exist to manipulate search results. Google's spam policies describe this as [scaled content abuse](https://developers.google.com/search/docs/essentials/spam-policies): “Scaled content abuse is when many pages are generated for the primary purpose of manipulating search rankings and not helping users.” Follow the search engines' spam policies with everything you publish, and do not use Rext AI for link schemes, doorway pages or spam email.

## Using the service fairly

- Do not share an account with people outside the members your plan allows, or resell access to Rext AI without our written agreement.
- Do not get around credit limits, usage limits or security, or probe or test our systems without permission.
- Do not reach the service with bots or scripts we have not allowed, or send the free tools automated requests.
- Do not overload the service or interfere with other customers' use of it.

## What we do about misuse

If we find a breach of this policy, we may remove the content from your account, limit features, or suspend or close the account, depending on how serious it is. Where we can, we tell you first.
